When Stanley Tucci endorses a product, you know it has to be good. So when he sat down with GQ Italia to talk about a few of his favorite things, we took note — especially when he revealed what his favorite pasta brand is. And right now, you can stock up on Rummo Italian Pasta and save big when you shop on Amazon today.
“I can’t say I always travel with the pasta, because that would almost be like an insane person would do that. But I will always go and look for this pasta…Rummo,” Tucci told GQ Italia. “If I’m on location and I have an apartment where I’m cooking, this is the pasta that I look for, for the most part.”
And you can take his word that this is top-tier pasta. Not only is Tucci a magnificent chef, but he could be considered a connoisseur of pasta. “I eat pasta probably five days a week,” he said. “Sometimes twice a day.”
The Rummo Rigatoni is actually on sale today for just over $5. Like the rest of Rummo pasta, the rigatoni has been expertly crafted to always have that perfect al dente bite to it. The pasta is guaranteed to keep its shape, never stick together, and is made with the highest quality durum wheat semolina and cut with a bronze die to give each piece beautiful “sauce grip.”
“I didn’t think there would be a difference in how pasta tasted but I was wrong,” one Amazon shopper wrote. “This stuff tastes so much better than the cheaper stuff.”
Although the rigatoni is marked down nearly 50 percent off, the other Rummo products are as extremely affordable as they are. The spaghetti, for example, is just $8 — and although you can get spaghetti for cheaper, this is some of the highest quality pasta you can buy! So for just $8, that’s a steal.
“This is higher quality pasta,” another Amazon reviewer wrote. “Cooks exactly to directions and is more filling. Tastes better than the cheap stuff at Walmart. The only pasta I buy.”
If you prefer the shorter, tubular pasta, the Rummo penne rigate is another great option alongside the rigatoni. Unlike traditional penne, penne rigate is a bit firmer and features ridges on the exterior, which help to soak up sauce a bit better.
“That’s it, I’m Italian, take my word for it — haven’t found anything even remotely as good as this one,” one person wrote in their review. Sold!
Rummo also sells gluten-free pasta, too! The gluten-free fusilli has that spiral shape you know and love but doesn’t contain any wheat. Instead, this pasta is made with rice and corn and still has that al dente bite of the traditional pasta.
“This is by far the best gluten-free pasta,” one person wrote. “It is not grainy tasting and does not fall apart like most GF pasta. We have tried numerous brands and none are good for cold pasta salad. Rummo is great. We cannot tell that it tastes different from durum pasta.”
The gluten-free spaghetti is worth the hype, too, with several reviewers stating that this is by far the best gluten-free spaghetti they’ve ever tried.
“This pasta beats them all,” one reviewer said. “This pasta is the superhero triumphing over evil. This is not a replacement for your typical cheap mac and cheese pasta, this is GOOD, toothy pasta … You can even just enjoy it with some butter and it doesn’t shatter when you reheat it the next day.”
You can even buy Rummo pasta in bulk. Check out this five-pack of linguini, which you can score for $17.
“These are really good noodles at a good price,” another reviewer wrote. “The overall texture is very good when cooked and I like the fact it is sold in 16 oz packages instead of the 12 oz that is more and more common.”
Try out Stanley Tucci’s favorite pasta while it’s marked down and you’ll definitely be able to taste the difference — the reviews and The Tuc say so!
