Shelley Duvall has died at the age of 75.
She was well known for works like starring in Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining opposite Jack Nicholson and appearing in seven Robert Altman movies.
Her longtime partner, Dan Gilroy, confirmed that she passed in her sleep due to complications from diabetes at home in Texas.

“My dear, sweet, wonderful life, partner and friend left us. Too much suffering lately, now she’s free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley,” he told THR.

Shelley left Hollywood in the early 2000s, but returned for another horror movie just a few years ago. She explained why she decided to make a return to the big screen in an interview conducted last year. In 2016, she made a rare TV appearance to bravely open up about mental illness.
