The founder of the social media account LibsofTikTok is once again under fire as her critics are accusing her of celebrating child abuse.
LibsofTikTok is a Twitter account founded by Chaya Raichik that has grown to more than 3 million followers on X and has been criticized as right-wing propaganda and a promoter of anti-LGBTQ conspiracy theories.
On Tuesday, the account shared an Instagram Reel and captioned the post "BASED GRANDPA [fire emoji]." The video appears to show a teenage child in tears claiming they were put in a headlock by their grandfather, "all because I asked to be called they/them."

The slang term "based" is often used by right wingers as an expression of approval or admiration.
As such, Raichik found herself under fire for appearing to support child abuse from many of her Twitter followers.
"Chaya cares so much about children, she's cheerleading child abuse," wrote @Esqueer_.
"'Protect the kids, unless they're leftists," replied @DelusionTakes. "Then violence is 100% okay and based [smiling face with sunglasses emoji]'"
"These people are way too comfortable admitting they're fine with or support abuse," wrote @somedipshitV3, referring to the account's massive right-wing and staunchly anti-woke following.
"I can’t imagine cheering on a child being beaten up by an adult & thinking *I’M* the hero," said @AntifaPhanatic.
"Nah, domestic violence isn’t 'Based,' said @SaraHigdon_.
"Libs of TikTok: 'We want to protect children.'
Also, Libs of TikTok: 'Child abuse is based," said @UnafraidLefty.
"The account that 'cares about the children!' is now advocating assaulting children.
Go figure," chided @ThePoliticalHQ.
"So you're celebrating physical abuse now? this is a new low for you," said @scott_free91.
