Last fall, Kith and Birkenstock introduced a new version of the London clog, featuring suede braids wrapping around the entirety of the upper. The three colorways sold out quickly but are now being followed up with two new editions.
The Kith x Birkenstock London Braided will release this week in “Lilac Ash” and “Birch” treatments. The former is the more colorful of the two, with its faded suede upper matched with a darker shade for its threaded leather cord and mudguard. Rounding out the clog is an ash outsole. “Birch” is more in line with the previous colorways, as a monochromatic range of beige is used throughout the upper and outsole.
Each pair of the Londons have been braided by hand and feature a buckle strap with Kith’s script logo embossed. For sizing, Kith recommends ordering a full size down from what you’d typically wear.
Kith and Birkenstock have been collaborating since 2019, but no release of theirs has commanded more on the resale market than the London Braided. Pairs have sold for upwards of $600 on the resale market, with the highest prices commanded by the black edition featuring a shearling footbed.
The two new versions, however, do without shearling in a play more appropriate for summer.
The Kith x Birkenstock London Braided “Lilac Ash” and “Birch” are available through a drawing now accepting entries on the Kith app. Limited quantities will also be available Friday, July 12, through Kith’s website, stores and app. Pricing is set at $295.
