LOVE Island fans hit out at ITV after it pushed the show back tonight.
The hit programme was delayed by an hour on ITV2 due to England’s Euro 2024 clash against the Netherlands.
Love Island was bumped off the ITV2 schedule at 9pm tonight[/caption]Kick off for the semi final match started at 8pm – and ITV wanted to give the nation the chance to enjoy both.
But reality TV fans who weren’t interested in the football got the hump.
One said: “Sorry but why is love island delayed by an hour for the football when itv2 isn’t even showing the football??”
Another hit out: “My changing the channel to ITV2 and being confused like…. they delayed Love Island cuz of the f*****g football. If ppl want to watch the Euros instead of Love Island then let them do that. Keep it on at 9pm for the rest of us.”
A third snapped: “Stupid football postponing love island,” and a fourth chimed: “I just made food in time and they’ve pushed it back an hour again for bloody football!”
However, football watchers were in for a treat as Ollie Watkins scored a stunning last-minute winner for England.
It was a remarkably dramatic end to a back-and-forth semi-final, after Xavi Simons gave Netherlands the lead with a brilliant strike.
The Sun earlier revealed that “several” stars will be axed on Love Island tonight as bosses stage a clear out of the packed villa.
And Ayo is set to make a shock u-turn by having another crack at Mimii.
Last week fans claimed bosses were deliberately protecting him during Movie Week.
It came after Love Island bosses brought in bombshells Josh and Reuben Collins, 23, to “stir the pot.”
Josh has made a beeline for Mimii and took her to the Hideaway in Wednesday’s episode.
Love Island is back on the box with a batch of sexy islanders all looking for love this summer.
