CROSSBOW murder suspect Kyle Clifford’s older brother is already behind bars for life after killing a teenager, The Sun can reveal.
Clifford, 26, from Enfield, north London, was arrested today in connection with the deaths of the wife and two of the daughters of John Hunt, the BBC Five Live racing commentator.
Carol Hunt, 61, Hannah Hunt, 28, and Louise Hunt, 25, were tragically pronounced dead at their home in Bushey, Hertfordshire, last night.
Detectives launched an urgent manhunt for suspect Clifford with armed police capturing him today after swarming a cemetery.
It has now emerged that, Clifford’s older brother, Bradley, was convicted of murder after a trial at the Old Bailey six years ago, reports the Telegraph.
Bradley Clifford was handed a 23-year prison term after he mowed down and killed a moped rider for smashing a bottle on his “prized” Ford Mustang car.
Bradley, now 30, became enraged and gave chase to a scooter being ridden by Soban Khan, 18, and his friend Jahshua Francis, 19.
Mr Francis and his passenger were flung into the air after Bradley drove his mustang into the moped during a relentless pursuit through Enfield in the early hours of August 5 2017.
Lying motionless and catastrophically injured, Mr Khan was then beaten up by Bradley who had got out of his car when it became entangled with the moped.
Bradley told the teenager he “deserved” it and punched him hard nine times, the Old Bailey heard.
He was found guilty of murdering Mr Khan and of attempted GBH with intent on Mr Francis.
Bradley was jailed for life, and the judge told him he would have to serve at least 23 years before he would be eligible to apply for parole.
Pals say after the attack current manhunt suspect Kyle became “obsessed with murder and death” and believed he was “untouchable”.
A friend said: “After Bradley was jailed Kyle developed this weird power complex.
“He thought having a brother who was behind bars was something to show-off about.
“Kyle used to go up to people and say ‘don’t f*** with my family’. He thought he was untouchable.
“He had no problem threatening people. And people were definitely afraid of him.”
Clifford, who dropped out of the army, was apprehended by armed cops at a cemetery in Hilly Fields in Enfield, North London, after nearly 24 hours on the run.
The 26-year-old suspect was caught with no shots having been fired by armed police.
Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: “This continues to be an incredibly difficult time for the victims’ family and we would ask that their privacy is respected as they come to terms with what has happened.
“This investigation is moving at pace and formal identification of the victims is yet to take place.
“Following extensive enquiries, the suspect has been located and nobody else is being sought in connection with the investigation at this time.
“We have had an overwhelming number of calls and would like to express our gratitude to the members of the public who have contacted us.
“We would still appeal for anyone with information or footage to please contact police directly and refrain from commenting on social media as this could affect the progress of the case.
“We have set up an information portal where people can submit any information, photos or video footage which they feel could assist us with our investigation.
“This incident will of course be of concern to local residents.”
It comes as a haunting photo also emerged showing Clifford with ex-girlfriend Louise.
Dramatic footage obtained exclusively by The Sun this afternoon appeared to show Clifford stalking the streets last night with a crossbow under his arm.
The clip shows a man carrying a three-foot object under his right arm – covered by a sheet – as he strides from an alleyway leading to the property where the women were killed.
Another video obtained exclusively by us showed cops storming a home in the hunt for the suspect.
Two helicopters were spotted circling the Hilly Fields area of Enfield, North London, as armed police stormed a home.
One officer can be heard screaming: “Armed Police, come to the door and raise your hands” as cops barrage through the front of the property.
