According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal have moved into pole position ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Wolves winger Pedro Neto.
The report says that Spurs are now having to contend with some serious competition from their North London rivals, who are now showing ‘stronger and stronger interest’ in Neto.
The outlet claims that the Gunners view the Wolves player as someone who can provide stiff competition for Bukayo Saka on the right flank while his arrival would also allow Mikel Arteta to rotate his squad more freely.
It is alleged that Arsenal have had conversations with the Portugal international’s representatives and have emerged as the frontrunners for his signature.
While Tottenham are still thought to be showing interest in Neto, the outlet explains that Ange Postecoglou’s men are more focused on signing Crystal Palace maestro Eberechi Eze.
While Wolves are demanding £60m for their star man, sources close to the 24-year-old believe that a deal can be finalised for just £50m.

It is highly unlikely that Tottenham would be able to afford both Neto and Eze, given the huge fees touted for the two players.
If Ange Postecoglou were to choose between the pair, he would likely prefer Eze who appears to be at the top of the Australian’s wishlist, based on recent reports.
