Birmingham City are continuing to wait for a decision to be made on the future of one of their key transfer targets, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Blues are determined that their stay in League One will not be a long one and the club’s owners are backing the club with a substantial budget for the third tier.
The club are looking to bring in a number of new faces as the summer transfer window heats up.
They have been chasing the services of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Marc Leonard for several weeks and face competition for his signature.
And Blues remain in the dark over whether they will be able to sign Leonard as no decision over a move for the midfielder has been made.
He impressed in League One during a loan spell at Northampton Town last term and his exploits did not go unnoticed.
Landing Leonard would be a coup for Birmingham if they can pull it off.
He also has interest from clubs in the Championship, while MLS sides have also been linked with him.
