Alaska Daily (9pm Alibi)
When a huge search operation gets underway to find a woman who fell off the side of a ship, Roz is quick to point out that there’s been no interest in locating a missing Alaskan native woman, and she soon teams up with Eileen (Hilary Swank) to write a piece comparing the two cases.
Meanwhile, the death threats against Eileen reach new heights.
Cooking Buddies (6pm CBBC)
Proving he’s a chip off the old block, Buddy Oliver – the son of Jamie, and therefore has been taught how to cook from the tender age of four – gets his own TV series.
He shares his favourite recipes with other youngsters in exchange for a lesson in their special skill, be it football, dancing or karate.
First up, Buddy and his dog Conker, who’s constantly on the look out for any stray food, meet young boxer Jackson.
He wants a meal that will give him and his trainer dad energy, and Buddy reckons a fish-finger sarnie, made from scratch, is the way forward.
Buddy’s got the charisma and ease with people of his father, and we reckon a long career cooking in front of the cameras.
The Big Loyalty Card Rip-Off (7pm C5)
Supermarket loyalty cards have become big business, with more than 70 per cent of us subscribing in the hope of making some much- needed savings on our weekly shop.
But are these loyalty cards actually good value for money, or just another way for supermarkets to hang on to our custom – and get hold of our valuable personal data?
In this eye-opening one-off, Alexis Conran investigates the loyalty card boom, and looks into the pros and cons of such schemes
Take My Tumour (10pm Really)
While this series isn’t for the squeamish, it’s impossible not to be affected by the bravery of the people involved.
In the latest episode, we hear from Tim, who has a massive tumour on his neck, and it’s continuing to grow at an alarming rate.
Unfortunately, his options are looking increasingly limited, with doctors worried that attempting to remove the tumour could leave Tim paralysed.
Is there another way forward?
Battle Of The Bagpipes (9pm Sky Arts)
Who’d have thought the world of competitive bagpiping would be so enthralling?
Battle Of The Bagpipes is turning out to be an enjoyable and heart-warming watch – even if it isn’t always easy on the ears.
Tonight, there are just seven days to go until the all-important World Pipe Band Championships and the bands – including the Inveraray & District Pipe band, led by Stuart Liddell – are sharpening their skills and polishing their pipes in preparation, using the North Berwick Highland Games as the perfect dress rehearsal.
Meanwhile, we meet the next generation of pipers, all keen to keep this iconic tradition alive
England v West Indies 1st Test (10am Sky Sports)
The England test cricket team – and their big-hitting Bazball style of playing – took a bit of a battering during the disastrous tour of India earlier this year.
But captain Ben Stokes and his teammates have the chance to change some minds today at Lord’s, with the start of the first of three tests against the West Indies.
The action continues tomorrow and Friday, and if you don’t have Sky, there’ll be highlights on BBC2 and BBC4.
