Just when Summer House viewers thought the chaos around Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s breakup couldn’t get any more fraught, the 37-year-old announced last week on Instagram that she is pregnant with an unnamed baby daddy (in a spon-con post no less). Aside from trying to identify the mystery man, the most important inquiry quickly became, When the hell did this happen? As you’ll recall, Radke broke off his engagement to Hubbard in August of last year, during which the former fiancée uttered the now-infamous statement that she was “completely blindsided.” That leaves 11 months for Hubbard to have met someone, started dating seriously, and become pregnant enough to announce she was expecting her first child by July (for most new moms, this happens around the beginning of the second trimester). But not to worry! On Monday, Hubbard came to the table with receipts. Or at least her version of them.
In a new Instagram post, the reality star laid out her pregnancy timeline by listing all of her 2024 activities. For our purposes, Hubbard claims she found out she was pregnant around the time she attended Yvonne Najor’s wedding in Mexico on April 6. On April 20, she says she was at another wedding, in Portugal, where “baby daddy was there to help.” In an accompanying photo, Hubbard can be seen cuddled up to a man in a suit with a brown-heart emoji covering his face. With that math, she likely got pregnant in March or April, eight or nine months after her breakup from Radke.
“4 weddings, 2 magazine cover shoots, 1 WWHL, 1 reunion taping, a sandwich shop opening, 1 Kleinfeld launch event, and a magazine party.. most all in my first trimester, and all before I announced,” she wrote in the caption. “Hiding this news has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do! (Mentally, emotionally, and physically).”
Thanks to an interview Hubbard conducted with People last week, we know that her mystery partner works in biotech investing and claims to need privacy for his job. We also know that, per Hubbard, the new couple weren’t planning to get pregnant, though she has actively communicated her desire to be a mom throughout multiple seasons of Summer House. “It is a lot of pressure on a new relationship,” she said. “But I think he’s the right man because we are so bonded and connected and communicate very effectively with each other that it hasn’t felt like work.”
Wild, but happy for her! Hubbard is confirmed to return to the ninth season of the Bravo series, which started filming in the Hamptons this month. Can’t wait to see a pregnant Lindsay and Carl bickering and dating other people in the same house!
