While the unconventional ingredient may seem strange to some, many who tried it found themselves pleasantly surprised.
“Snail mucin: weirdly wonderful,” wrote one reviewer.
He added that the skincare essence was like “moisturizing magic.”
“My skin feels hydrated and smooth without any hint of irritation. For something that sounds like it should be slithering around in the garden, it’s doing a pretty decent job,” he said.
“No smell, no problem. Thankfully, there’s no smell. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it’s completely odorless. A major plus in my book.”
While the serum’s “slimy” texture took some time to get used to, he explained that the results delivered on its promises.
“If you can get over the idea of slathering snail secretion on your face, the Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence is worth a try,” he said.
“Just don’t expect miracles — snails can only do so much.”
Another happy customer said she wished she could give the serum 10 stars instead of five.
“At 65 years old, this is the best skin product I have ever used. After years of sunning, working, riding, and showing horses in Florida, my skin was starting to get rough and show some wrinkles,” she said.
“After about three weeks, I saw a definite difference in the texture of my skin and my visible wrinkles.”
She was over the moon when she started getting attention for her improved skin.
“By six weeks, people were asking me if I had a chemical peel or Botox,” she said.

“This past weekend, a friend I had not seen in about eight months said, ‘What have you done to your skin? it looks like glass!'” she said.
“I will tell everyone about this product. It has been a game changer for my skin at this age.”
She admitted that while the serum isn’t magic, it’s as close to it as it can get.
“No, it has not made me look 25. However, it has taken a good 10+ years off my face,” she said.
“[It has] smoothed out bumps and fine lines; my skin is dewy and soft.”
