A Source Revealed Where Angelina Jolie’s Focus Lies Amid Ongoing Feud With Ex Brad Pitt
It seems like Angelina Jolie and ex Brad Pitt’s feud is never ending. The exes were married in Aug. 2014 and divorced in April 2019, following Pitt’s alleged airplane abuse in 2016. Since then, they have had numerous public spats over the years, including recently when the Fight Club star seemingly snubbed his daughter Zahara, 19, in a response to his daughter Shiloh, 18, dropping “Pitt” from her last name. It’s all very messy — but Jolie is focused on the positive. A source revealed how the actress is getting through this trying time, and it makes a lot of sense.
“Angie seems very happy and content with her life,” a source close to the Oscar winner told PEOPLE. “She’s focused on her kids and work. She’s involved in projects that she truly cares and feels passionate about.”
This tracks with what we’ve seen of the Maleficent star, who recently celebrated a best new musical win at the Tony Awards for the Broadway show, The Outsiders, that she co-produced and worked on alongside her 15-year-old daughter Vivienne, who assisted on production. Jolie, who also shares Vivienne, Knox, 15, Pax, 20, and Maddox, 22, with Pitt is “very proud of her kids,” added the insider.
The Girl, Interrupted star reportedly spent Father’s Day at home with her kids. A source told InTouch Weekly that they had low-key plans with their mother, who they feel was the one parent who really raised them. Meanwhile, Pitt is hoping to be a father again one day. An insider told In Touch that the 60-year-old hopes to have kids with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon. “Brad wants another chance at fatherhood,” they told the outlet. “He’s a different person than the first time around.”
Until then, he’s supposedly trying to get close to his kids with Jolie again. “He’s tried to rebuild relationships with all his children, and will continue to try,” they continued. “He hopes things will change over time when the kids are not so heavily influenced by Angelina.”
Messy custody agreements and divorce aren’t easy for anyone involved, but especially the kids. We hope these six can find true peace, whether they pursue a relationship with their dad in the future or not.
