On what was reportedly a grim day for congressional Democrats, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) tried to provide some levity.
As reported by Punchbowl News' Andrew Desiderio, Fetterman offered some advice for getting President Joe Biden's campaign back on track amid the fallout of his disastrous first debate with former President Donald Trump.
“I’m gonna suggest maybe we can encourage Joe Biden to bang a porn star or maybe he could become consumed with revenge and say crazy things and have a plan for 2025," Fetterman said.
Fetterman, who himself has an infamously bad first debate with Republican rival Mehmet Oz back in 2022 before ultimately winning his race, has been one of Biden's staunchest defenders ever since he flubbed his debate last month against former President Donald Trump.

During media appearances, Fetterman has not only defended Biden but tried to turn media attention back to Trump, the twice-impeached, quadruple-indicted former president who was convicted earlier this year on 34 felony counts.
Fetterman went on Fox News earlier this week and parried questions about Biden's mental acuity by hammering away at Project 2025, a radical plan crafted by Trump's allies to vastly expand the power of the executive branch and to use the administrative state to curb reproductive rights, among other things.
Fetterman even took a shot at Fox for losing hundreds of millions of dollars after getting sued for defamation by Dominion Voting Systems.
