A portrait of President Nikos Christodoulides will be adorning his office as of Tuesday – a gift from the artists themselves.
A group of preschoolers visited the president and asked him questions about what he does all day, the length of his term, when the Cyprus problem would be solved and if he liked his job.
Seated at the fireplace, with the children huddling around him, Christodoulides explained what a president does and how he is elected.
The president had his own questions to ask – what their classroom was like, their favourite sports and hobbies and much more.
The children presented Christodoulides with a portrait with the Cyprus flag in the background and said he should place it on the bookshelf behind his desk so they see it when he is on television.
