While another wasn’t left too impressed by the change as they penned: “Vanessa Feltz? What? Why? #JeremyVine.”
Towards the end of May, Jeremy announced that he was making a massive career move away from his daily TV chat show.
The star revealed he would be writing his first-ever murder mystery novel, Murder On Line One, which inspired his obsession with Agatha Christie.
The book, which will be published by HarperCollins next year, centres around Edward Temmis, a Devon-based local radio host turned sleuth.
The first novel in the murder mystery series follows Edward as he encounters Stevie, a woman whose grandmother was a devoted listener of his station but recently died in mysterious circumstances.
Regarding the upcoming novel, Harper Fiction’s Martha Ashby said: “Jeremy’s book has it all – a clever, funny, characterful murder mystery with a great sense of humour and remarkable emotional depth.”
Jeremy revealed that, by the age of 18, he had read all of Dame Agatha’s detective novels.
Praising the well-known author’s books, the TV personality said: “She has inspired me since I first read her at 11. I don’t know why I waited 47 years to dive into the world she created in my mind.”
