It was a pivotal moment sharing my failures in front of a supportive audience,” says Maria who has spoken at Fuckup Nights Almaty in Kazakhstan.
Inspired by Maria’s transformative experience, Alla joined forces with her: “We saw a gap in Cyprus for discussions on failure in a professional context. It’s about normalising setbacks and showcasing that success often comes after failure.”
The motivation behind bringing Fuckup Nights to Cyprus was clear for Maria and Alla. “The opportunity to bring the worldwide event franchise to Cyprus came at just the right time in our lives,” Alla adds, highlighting their combined marketing and public speaking experience.
The debut of Fuckup Nights in Limassol at Cinema Bar end of May was a great success. The event drew a vibrant community eager to share, learn, and laugh about the missteps that shape our professional journeys. Looking forward, Maria and Alla have ambitious plans for Fuckup Nights in Cyprus. “In 2024, we plan to host four events in Limassol,” says Maria. “Each event will be larger and more engaging, with networking opportunities to foster deeper connections within our community,” adds Alla.
