Hendry joins a slew of new coaches in Cleveland.
The Cleveland Cavaliers continue their overhaul of the coaching staff by reportedly adding Trevor Hendry according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. Hendry is a former assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets.

Hendry has worked closely in player development, spending time in the G-League and coaching the Nets during the 2023 Las Vegas Summer League. He previously served three seasons as a video coordinator under head coach Kenny Atkinson during their time in Brooklyn.
The Cavs have now added four new assistant coaches since parting ways with J.B. Bickerstaff. Hendry joins Johnnie Bryant, Jordan Ott and DeMarre Carroll as the latest. It’s worth noting each name on this list has earned praise for their skills in player development.
Koby Altman and the Cavs front office have placed their faith in the internal growth of this roster. With few options to truly improve this summer, that homegrown development is paramount. It should be no surprise to see Atkinson assembling a staff of coaches who can help unlock whatever potential remains on this roster.
Assuming the Cavs’ front office remains committed to the core four, getting the most out of their two youngest stars in Evan Mobley and Darius Garland will be the key to a successful tenure for this coaching staff.
