As if the American public wasn’t already feeling scammed by the 2024 presidential race, Billy McFarland has decided to enter the chat. The former Fyre Fest fraudster is trying to hook Trump up with rappers, as reported by Rolling Stone. McFarland allegedly approached the team of Detroit rapper Icewear Vezzo ahead of Trump’s rally there. McFarland also took credit for connecting Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow with Trump ahead of a rally in the Bronx.
McFarland is apparently just one arm of Trump’s efforts to reach rappers. He wants to hug them as close as he hugs the flag in an effort to reach Black voters. He’s still over the moon Lil Wayne endorsed him, and dejected that Snoop Dogg has not. One source told Rolling Stone that there is a list of hip-hop artists Trump wants to endorse him or even perform at his campaign events: “At this time, none of them have.”
