Rumer Willis’ latest post has us stumbling over the nature versus nurture debate once again. And while we’re not sure where her latest revelations about her daughter Louetta have us leaning, we are sure that she’s onto something. The actress claims the photos prove her daughter is indeed hers, and we can’t argue with the facts.
“You can tell she is a Willis cause when she came to visit mama on set and I was covered in blood she didn’t even flinch, she just reached out her arms and grabbed me tight and gave me a big ole smooch,” Willis captioned a carousel of photos that starts with a shot of Lou kissing her bloodied mama.
And yup! Little Lou hails from an action movie dynasty and her fearsomeness must make her grandpa Bruce Willis proud. So now we have to wonder, was she desensitized to blood by living in a household that must play Die Hard on repeat? Or is there something in the Willis blood that makes her unfazed? Either way, it’s so fitting. And now we have to wonder if “Yippee-ki-yay motherf*cker” will be part of her toddler vernacular.
The carousel continues with adorable shots of Willis and her daughter — who she shares with Derek Richard Thomas — on set. In one, the actress is breastfeeding while getting her makeup done, and in others, the two roam around the rustic scenery.
“The privilege of having a job that allows me to have my daughter with me in some thing I don’t take for granted and I feel so grateful to the support system that I have here that allows me to show up and do the best job I can do,” Willis continued.
Willis went on to share that the nanny who took care of her while her parents (Bruce Willis and Demi Moore) worked, was watching Lou. Being the ever-grateful mom that she is, Willis called it a “full circle moment” and “such a gift.”
“Lou is everything. I don’t ever want to be on a movie without her now,” Willis’ co-star Eric Nelsen commented on the photos. “Pure joy and love at all times!”
Earlier this year, Willis talked about the bond between her daughter and her father. “Lou is just starting to walk a little bit, and she was walking over to him, and it was so sweet. It’s so nice because my dad, he’s a girl dad, through and through. And it almost unlocks that little kid, girl dad thing. He’s so sweet with her.”
These celebrity fathers are all proud to be “girl dads.”
