Camper Teams With British Sailing Team Ineos Britannia for Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup
Camper has teamed up with British sailing team Ineos Britannia for the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup, the race taking place in Barcelona between Aug. 21 and Oct. 27 later this year. The collaboration involves limited-edition footwear designed for the crew, including four new shoes available for purchase now on camper.com.
Firstly, the Path shoe is made for on-water pilots. It’s described as a lightweight shoe featuring a barefoot heel. The design also includes breathable mesh uppers, a 23 percent recycled rubber outsole and TPU reinforcement to help with traction and water drainage; they are also meant to dry easily.
The CRCLR sneaker and boot are designed for the on-water crew and made of 100 percent recycled PET textiles; it has perforations to drain water, non-absorbent padding and an EVA outsole to assist with grip. The CRCLR is also described as easy-dry.
Meanwhile, the Drift Trail is a cushioned performance sneaker intended for the off-water crew. Described as flexible, the upper blends Leather Working Group-certified leather and 100 percent recycled synthetic textiles with a Vibram leather outsole to offer “extraordinary grip.”
The Match shoe, described as “the ultimate unisex off-duty style,” is a sandal with 100 percent recycled PET webbing, a lightweight EVA and a rubber outsole to provide another quality grip option.
To celebrate the partnership with Ineos Britannia, Camper is raffling two tickets to the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup to see the team race; also up for raffle is a weekend for two at Casa Camper Barcelona from Aug. 30-31.
Outside of the Ineos Britannia partnership, Camper recently announced a new style called the Caramba under its CamperLab division. Prior to that, the brand revealed a new customizable unisex sneaker line known as Roku, featuring six interchangeable components. The brand offers a myriad of styles, including a pair of chunky red boots that Selena Gomez slipped on while on the set of “Only Murders in the Building.”
