Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, on Monday, approved the release of N1,912,187,753.82 to settle the long-standing leave allowances owed to public primary school teachers. A statement by the governor’s media office said that the payment covers a period of four years and is a fulfilment of his promise to prioritise teachers’ welfare and productivity.
