COUNTRYFILE fans have been left raging as show bosses reintroduced an unpopular segment.
The beloved BBC agriculture show aired its latest episode on Sunday night from Somerset.
Matt Baker and Margherita Taylor were on presenting duties while John Craven appeared on screen to make an announcement.
The 83-year-old revealed Countyfile‘s calendar is making a return for this year.
He officially launched this year’s photographic competition that will see the winning snaps included in their 2025 calendar.
John told viewers: “Every part of this country is blessed with miracles of nature and breathtaking beauty.
“So here in this beautiful setting provided for us by nature, it’s my great pleasure to launch our photographic competition with this year’s winning photos starring in the 2025 Countryfile calendar.”
However, viewers at home were less than impressed and hoped the segment had been permanently dropped.
One fan said: “OMG! Not the flipping calendar again already. Seems like we only just got rid of the last one!”
A second fumed: “Yay its the f***en #Countryfile calendar b****cks again.”
“JFC it doesn’t feel like that long since the end of the last #countryfile calendar competition,” said a third.
As usual, the proceeds of the sale of the calendars goes directly to BBC Children in Need.
Since the competition was launched in 1998, a whopping £30 million has been donated to charity.
