Hello Friends,
Another messy day ahead for surfers. If you can put up with the steady SE wind and associated choppy lumpiness, there are sort of waves to be had thanks to the 2 metre, 6-second period mix of SSE and E bump.
Both the GFS and ECMWF models are showing sub-9 second period and swell heights in the meter-ish range through Thursday. Wind stays out of the easterly quarters until around Wednesday, then it goes around to the westerly quarters for the remainder of the week.
Water has cooled down to 17 C which also happens to be the predicted high for today. There’s a slight chance of a passing shower this morning and the BoM expects the weather to be it to be like this until mid-week.
Go well!
A large, slow-moving high pressure system centred near Tasmania is directing south to southeasterly winds to the coast. The high is forecast to move over the Tasman during the weekend.
