Manchester United have a brilliant opportunity to sign Juventus attacker Federico Chiesa on a cut-price deal this summer.
The Red Devils are likely to make multiple changes in the ongoing transfer window. They are currently close to securing an agreement for Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.
However, the club could also invest in another versatile wide player. In our opinion, they should grab the chance to sign Chiesa whose contract with Juventus expires in June 2025.
The Bianconeri have failed to agree fresh terms with the highly-rated forward and Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Turin giants are prepared to sell him for £21 million.
The Red Devils are currently in advanced talks to land Zirkzee, but they could do with another highly experienced forward. Chiesa would be a quality acquisition.
The former Fiorentina man has the ability to play on either wing or as a second striker. He has been most successful in his career from the right flank with 64 goal contributions from 130 outings.
Chiesa was hampered by plenty of injuries after Euro 2020, but he managed to stay largely unscathed last season, contributing 10 goals and three assists.
The 26-year-old, who was described as ‘world-class‘ by former Italian defender Alessandro Pierini, would be a good bargain signing for the price mentioned.
He currently earns £151,000 per week at the Bianconeri. The Red Devils could convince him over a summer transfer with a £180,000 weekly package.
The Italian would provide United with a strong solution on the right wing which has been a problematic position. He created 12 big chances in Serie A last term which was the third highest.
