ED Miliband has become known for his role in politics and the variety of jobs he’s had.

Ed is married to Justine Thornton who is a High Court judge.
The couple first met in 2002 and went on to live together in north London.
In March 2010, Ed popped the question and they got married a year later.
Justine was made a High Court judge in 2019.
A biography on the Judicial Appointments Commission website says she grew up in Nottingham and was educated at a comprehensive school.
Ed’s constituency is Doncaster North in South Yorkshire.
The politician was re-elected in 2024, gaining a total of 16,231 votes.
He was called upon by Labour leader Keir Starmer and has been appointed to the Cabinet position of Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.
Ed has come full circle to his last Cabinet role in 2008.
He will be one of the few ministers in Cabinet with previous senior government experience.
In their manifesto, the Labour Party revealed plans to create a publicly-owned energy company called Great British Energy.
The new company, which will be owned by the British public, aims to focus on investment in clean, domestic energy production.
