Virat Kohli , on Friday, thanked the Mumbai Police for doing a “phenomenal job” in controlling the crowd during the victory parade of the T20 World Cup- winning Indian team. The team returned to a celebrative reception on Thursday, after a 16-hour-long flight from Barbados. The team was scheduled to have breakfast with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, before leaving for Mumbai for the Victory Parade.
The victory parade then went on to being the congratulatory ceremony as the team reached the iconic Wankhede Stadium where the players danced and decided to take a victory lap to celebrate the T20 World Cup victory.
Virat Kohli took to ‘X’ to express his feelings for Mumbai Police for doing their art in the parade.
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also posted a similar note of thanks for the police force that was deployed to manage the crowd at Marine Drive.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma also shared a video of him smiling and waving to all his fans while showing how the police force was actively working to keep the crowd reaching much close to the bus,.
Senior off-spinner R Ashwin, who was not a part of the squad, said that he felt overwhelmed while watching the celebration.
