HONG KONG, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong's air service provider Cathay Pacific announced Friday that it will buy back the remaining 50 percent of its preference shares from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government.
The company plans to buy back the shares on July 31 this year at a cost of 9.75 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 1.25 billion U.S. dollars), it said.
