‘Real reason’ behind Love Island stars Matilda and Jess’s bitter feud revealed by fans – and it’s NOT over Hugo
LOVE Island fans think they’ve worked out why reason behind Matilda and Jess’ ongoing feud – and it has nothing to do with Casa boy Hugo.
Last night we will see the girls to to war over new bombshell Hugo.
Jess shared her frustrations when she saw Matilda chatting to Hugo, when she’s in a happy couple with Sean Stone.
The pair clashed the following morning when Jess explained that she “wouldn’t do that to a friend”, but Matilda hit back and said she was allowed to have a conversation with who she wants.
Some thought Matilda was in the wrong for stepping on Jess’ toes when she could see that her friend was finally happy, while others thought Jess shouldn’t stop the other girls from speaking to Hugo.
But viewers think their ongoing feud has nothing to do with the hunky lad and instead boils down to Jess’ former love rival Harriett, who was dumped last week alongside Ronnie Vint.
Jess enjoyed a brief romance with Ronnie in week one before Harriett tempted him and the pair ended up striking up a romance, after bombshell Tiffany Leighton was dumped from the villa.
Matilda formed a close friendship with Harriett in the villa and took her side over Jess’ during the Ronnie, Harriett and Jess love triangle drama.
Now fans think Matilda is continuing the feud for her old pal Harriett.
One wrote: “Jess hates that Matilda has always seen right through her and also isn’t afraid to stand up to her.”
A second posted: “Jess can’t bully Matilda like she did Harriet and she hates it.”
“Matilda has seen right through Jess,” a third commented.
This person echoed: “Jess discovering she can’t push Matilda around like she did Harriet.”
Another added: “She clocked how shi**y Jess was to Harriette & her idgaf attitude. So Matilda is giving it to her right back, which Jess deserves. I like drama & all but she was just straight up nasty to H, it was hard to watch.”
Earlier this week Matilda told Hugo: “I think looks wise, you are probably the person I would fancy the most.”
While Jess watched on, she said: “I’m fuming at her. She can see how happy I am for the first time in ages. She’s got someone back there anyway.
“Why is she trying to get involved in something?!”
Jess hasn’t had an easy ride in the villa.
She coupled up with Ronnie Vint at the start, but then found herself in a love triangle with Harriett Blackmore.
Jess decided to remove herself, leaving her in numerous friendship couples.
She recently recoupled with bombshell Trey Norman, but it looks like she’s forgotten about him over in Casa Amor.
