AUSTIN (KXAN) — Happy Independence Day!
Those seeking a ride to the City of Austin's annual Fourth of July orchestra performance and fireworks show can utilize CapMetro's services for free Thursday evening. The Austin transit authority will waive all service fares after 5 p.m., with multiple routes transporting customers to the Star Spangled Fest at Auditorium Shores.
Bus services will operate on Sunday-level offerings, with Saturday-level rail services. CapMetro officials confirmed in a release there won't be any UT, Night Owl or Express services available Thursday.
While some road detours are planned in downtown Austin, here are the bus routes that will take guests to Auditorium Shores Thursday:

Those needing to travel north of Lady Bird Lake after the fireworks show must head to Lavaca and Fourth streets to pick up bus services. For those looking to travel south of the river post-event, they can go to the following stops:
The last buses will depart at 10:30 p.m. Regular service levels will resume on Friday.
