A SAVVY woman revealed how she makes a profit flogging second-hand items.
The business owner, who goes by Sole Sister online, shared her secret to bagging the latest must-have shoes and making a profit from them.
Taking to social media, the woman revealed she spend 3300 on a mystery bag of Adidas trainers from a wholesaler – hoping she would make her money back from the hefty purchase.
She wrote: “I spent £300 on a bag of pre-loved Adidas trainers.
“Lets see if it was worth it…”
When she opened the bag she realised she had hit the jackpot as piles and piles of Adidas Spezials and Sambas came flying out.
Both pairs, which are classed as sports trainers for courts have become the must-have shoe for the summer thanks to their sleek design and multiple colour ways.
But that means they’ve become increasingly hard to get a hold of in stores and online.
“Starting off strong! Pink glow Adidas Bermudas, these are literally always sold out,” she said as she held up her first prize.
Next, was a pair of beige Sambas as well as a pair of blue ones.
She also found a pair of bright red Spezials which she was ‘holding back tears’ for as she knew these would sell instantly.
The second-hand buyer and reseller also nabbed the shoes in black and white and pink and black.
In the end she had over 20 pairs of shoes in the bag which she was thrilled about and listed them on her Depop store.
She wrote: “These will be available in my next Depop drop!”
Looking at her store online, it seems the reseller has well and truly made her money back from the mystery bag of shoes.
She is currently selling the different styles for £80 on average – with rarer ones going for £90 a pop too.

Many retailers use eBay to sell their stock, with options on the auction site including unclaimed luggage or parcel returns, all put together in a mystery box. It’s not like a normal ‘auction’ though – there will usually be a buy it now price so it’s just like any other internet transaction.

As the popularity of mystery boxes increases, other retailers have started selling them in the hope that they will be a hit among customers. Have a look on sites such as Amazon, Etsy and Wowcher, and you’ll often find the mystery boxes are listed by genre too.
If there’s a particular niche mystery box you’re looking for, it’s always worth searching for it. There are so many websites out there selling mystery boxes, you’ll undoubtedly find what you’re after.
As with buying anything online, make sure you are purchasing from a trusted retailer and a secure website.
The video has since gone viral on her TikTok account @solesistersuk with over 1.1 million views and 114k likes.
People were quick to congratulate the business owner on her haul and wanted to snag a pair for themselves.
One person wrote: “Okay where did you get this from.”
Another commented: “That’s an INSANE haul for £300.”
“How did you buy all that?” penned a third.
“I source stock from a variety of places. I’m not going to share exact details of suppliers on TikTok but if anyone’s interested in doing something similar I’m happy to offer advice if they dm me,” the business owner replied.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “I NEED THIS.”
“Worth it- one pair is like £100,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “LUCKYYY.”
