Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met with the injured in the Hathras stampede, which left 121 people dead and 28 injured. The Uttar Pradesh Police registered an FIR against the congregation organizers, accusing them of hiding evidence and flouting conditions. The FIR alleged that the organizers hid the actual number of devotees, did not cooperate in traffic management, and hid evidence after the stampede. Adityanath said the state government will investigate the incident and punish the conspirators.
