News has traveled throughout the Ton that a maiden has dared to debut… her food wares.
A Bridgerton fan, inspired by the Netflix show’s Regency Era aesthetic, posted a viral video showing how she jazzed up her fridge and food.
Lynzi Judish (@lynziliving) shared the video on TikTok, which has since accumulated tens of thousands of views.
She explained that she was moved to “romanticize my life” after picking up season three of the show.
After cleaning her fridge, she stocked her shelves with gold picture frames with 19th-century-style portraits, miniature swans, delicate china pieces, and lots and lots of fresh-picked flowers.
Lynzi ensured each food category was stored in a quaint container, from the rattan picnic baskets that stored her fresh fruit, the intricate jewelry box that held her M&Ms, and the pastel-colored clear pitchers that carried her milk.
Ribbons and gold hardware decked out her fridge, completing her desired Regency vibes.
Lynzi told The U.S. Sun that the idea was inspired by a previous interior design video and her Bridgerton-obsessed viewers.
“I can take zero credit for the idea. A few people made comments on an earlier fridgescaping video calling it ‘Fridgerton,’ and that was a lightbulb moment,” she said.
“Then I just ran with it. I’m a girl who loves a theme. I bought some things, thrifted, made others, and then foraged my house for things, mostly pulling trinkets off my bookshelf.
“There wasn’t a true plan past ‘Fridgerton,’ just a gathering of things that gave me Recency vibes and putting as much of it in my refrigerator as I could,” she admitted.
“I would say I’m a maximalist at heart and don’t know how to edit, a ‘more is more’ girl, so to speak, so it’s pretty full on. I love it though!”
She added that the response to her project has been mostly positive and was moved that her video inspired others to do the same.
“There have been a lot of comments loving it, understanding both the humor and whimsy, and some people even creating their own Fridgerton fridgescapes,” she said.
“That has been so lovely to see! There’s a sect of people in the ‘This is impractical’ camp, but a lot of them still liked and supported it.
“That being said, I would say 20-30% of commentary has been negative, ranging from people thinking it’s stupid to wild things like this being a larger symptom of the times and attacking it.”
When a popular content creator reacted to her video, she explained that a positive mindset helped her move past the negativity sparked by the video.
“I even had Shabazsays duet it, and the comments on that were a lot to take in.
“I couldn’t even read them after a certain point. My response to that, though, is it’s just not that serious, as much as people might like to make it out to be. While that is definitely my refrigerator decor, a lot of that fridgescape was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.”
“I mean, I don’t actually refrigerate jewelry or wear lace gloves to decorate. I had to take those silly gloves off constantly to open things. It was comedic. It was just meant to be fun!”
Viewers flocked to her comments to support her endeavor and vision.
“I cackled out loud. Fridgerton? Work of art,” wrote one commenter.
