Barbados: If Virat Kohli is considered to be the best batter of the generation, then, Ravindra Jadeja is rated among the top all-rounders today. But, after India’s T20 World Cup 2024 win, the latest ICC rankings has surprised us all. As per the latest ICC T20I Rankings for all-rounder, Kohli is ahead of Jadeja. While Jadeja occupies the 95th spot and that is after gaining five spots in the updated version. On the other hand, Kohli finds himself at the 85th spot, which is 10 spots higher than the left-handed all-rounder.
The top-ranked Indian T20I all-rounder is Hardik Pandya. The MI captain occupies the third spot in the latest rankings.
Meanwhile, the ICC has revealed it’s ‘team of the tournament’. While six Indian stars have found a spot in the XI, premier batter Virat Kohli has missed out. Players from four different nations have been named in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Team of the Tournament.
Champions India provide six players, including captain Rohit Sharma, who will captain this team, and Player of the Tournament Jasprit Bumrah.
Three players from Afghanistan make the cut following a breakthrough run to the semi-finals.
The selection panel consisted of commentators Harsha Bhogle, Ian Bishop and Kass Naidoo and ICC General Manager of Cricket Wasim Khan.
