In the final game to determine if the Royals take a series win or a split (woo-hoo! Not a series loss!), Seth Lugo takes the mound. Dairon Blanco gets a somewhat rare start in left field as Q gives a day off to Isbel and starts Hampson in CF. That ought to be fun.
It’s a beautiful day for baseball and watching Lugo’s magician act of being a top-15 pitcher in baseball.
The Guardians start Logan Allen, who has a 5.72 ERA in 78 and ⅔ innings. His peripherals aren’t any better. Hopefully, the Royals are looking to make him work because he has given up a ton of walks and dingers. Maybe some pre-4th fireworks on the field echoing Friday night’s game!
