As part of his job, Graeme, nicknamed the “Dogfather”, is used to working with aggressive or anxiety-ridden canines.
However, he almost lost the use of one of his hands after being savaged by a German Shepherd.
Speaking previously to Express.co.uk, Graeme explained the dog had been rehomed and was barking “very aggressively.”
He said: “They brought him in to see me and he just went for my left hand. He bit hard, at the same time the owner pulled on the lead.
“The effect was to rip it [my hand].
“It was off to A&E. I ended up in the operating theatre.
“The bites just missed a tendon and nerve and I nearly lost the full use of that hand. It was a close call.
“That really made me think differently and I will now put a muzzle on the dog, but I still get little bites here and there.”
As for Graeme’s personal life, he tied the knot with accountant Elinor Perry-Hall in 2017.
The pair got hitched on a beach in Sri Lanka followed by a home celebration for family and friends at Mallory Court, a four-star country house, hotel and spa in Warwickshire.
However, an interview that Graeme gave to The Sunday Times last year revealed the TV star now has a “new partner”.
Although there is no official confirmation that the marriage is over, he told The Times: “I’m living in Bicester, Oxfordshire, with my new partner.
“We are looking for somewhere in one of the villages around here.”
As for Elinor, her Facebook page lists her as currently living in Warwickshire.
The Sun has contacted Graeme’s reps for comment.
Naturally, the star was also asked in The Sunday Times interview about his best dog-related purchase for the house.
Graeme Hall is best known as the presenter of Channel 5's hit programme Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly. Let's take a look at some of the star's wider work.
He replied: “If you could ask the dogs, they’d tell you it’s the Barbour bed.
“We’ve got three dogs and five or six beds, but they always go after that one.
“It has a wall around it and the pad is really nice and soft.
