That price reduction has come in just in time for those looking to get on the tongs and cook outside this summer.
The barbecue’s description states: “It’s just not summer without the enticing smell of a barbecue cooking up a feast! Get grilling in the garden with this easy to use charcoal BBQ.
“With a cooking area of 35cm x 35cm, it’s perfectly sized for around 4 people. Easy to build, you can be up and cooking in no time!”
But those who had bought the product have left comments telling perspective buyers to be careful.
One said: “Beware, it’s only 50cm tall. The picture makes it look like it is taller.”
Another posted: “Pile of crap. Just a pain in the backside to dispose of at the end of the year once it’s rusted, melted and fallen apart.”
While a third wrote: “Fabulous for a festival, much better than those disposable doofers. Thanks for sharing!”
Other 35cm round barbecues sell for between £6 from B&Q and Temu, up to £25 at Ikea.
The Good Housekeeping Institute UK has revealed the results of its 2024 BBQ taste test, just in time to use the Argos BBQ.
Waitrose came out top after winning three “best buys” across three different categories.
The GHI’s panel of taste testers sampled 110 products in search of the best BBQ mains, covering everything from traditional beef burgers and sausages to ribs and chicken.
In the UK, disposing of hot coals in a general waste bin is not only a fire hazard but also illegal.
According to local council regulations, ashes must be cooled completely and placed in a metal container with a lid.
Many councils recommend waiting at least 24 hours before disposal to ensure all embers are fully extinguished. Failing to comply with these regulations could result in a fine for causing a fire hazard.
Gordon Ramsey has also revealed his top tips to avoid kitchen nightmares when cooking patties on the barbie.
He says: “The secret is to move it as little as possible. The more you move it, the more chance of breaking it.”
Gordon also brushes grapeseed oil on patties before grilling.
He says: “How many times have you stuck burgers on the grill and wondered why it’s sticking? Nicely oiled, quick sear, put that lid down – really important.”
Just before they are done, he then brushes on butter.
He says: “The flame underneath caramelises the butter and puts wonderful flavour on top.”
