CLEANING fans have been stunned over a flip trick that shows how dirty your air fryer really is.
Vernon Round regularly shares his top tips and products that will keep your house gleaming on Instagram.
In a recent post, he revealed the quick and easy way he cleans his Ninja air fryer.
And one step in his routine has been hailed “brilliant” by his fellow cleaning fanatics.
Speaking about his cleaning hack, Vernon asked: “Do you flip your air fryer?!”
He continued: “I’m using the Fabulosa combo for an absolute crime and grime.. the crime of the moment is finding those filthy finds and tackling those with the Apple and Lime Sherbet Combo.”
During his short clip, Vernon first popped washing up liquid and boiling water in the dual trays to steep.
In the meantime, he flipped his air fryer upside down to wipe the grease and grim from the roof of the internal cooking blocks.
He then used disinfectant spray to scrub the exterior of the air fryer, and rinsed out the two trays.
“Now I’m feeling zesty and ready to cook once again”, he gushed.
Vernon’s clip quickly went viral with more than 180,000 views on Instagram.
One cleaning fan said: “I clean mine every time I use it but definitely need to flip it!”
“I don’t flip my air fryer but I will be now”, echoed a second.
A third admitted: “Never thought of doing that! Great tip and clean.”
Someone else wrote: “I would never have thought to flip it, brilliant.”
A fifth chimed in: “I wash my air fryer drawers after each use. But I will flip it too from now on.”
Meanwhile, a sixth added: “Clean mine every time but have never done the flip! First thing on my list tomorrow.”
If this has got you thinking about your air fryer, a food fan has shared how she’s cooking up tasty meals for as little as 77p a portion.
Leah Hancox has been using her air fryer for just a few months and is already seeing savings in cost and time.
She’s able to dish up dinners including chicken fajitas, homemade chicken nuggets and steak with sweet potato mash without spending time slaving away in the kitchen.
The 27-year-old used MuscleFood’s Ultimate Airfryer Collection to keep costs low to create a variety of tasty dinners.
She said: “I’m a new convert to air fryers – I was always convinced an oven was all I needed but since buying mine I rarely turn the oven on.
“They’re incredibly versatile and anything you cook in the oven you can do in it – it just takes less time and uses less electricity.
“For me just to leave chicken cooking, get on with some work and it’s ready in around 20 mins is ideal.”
