Pakistani official alleges India funds TTP and Baloch separatists

Ziaullah Langove, the Home Minister of Balochistan, Pakistan, states that Pakistani Taliban and Baloch Liberation Army collaborate to carry out terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

Balochistan Home Minister Ziaullah Langove revealed on Wednesday that security forces had dismantled a network involving the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and a separatist group, with support from India’s RAW agency. Two key commanders of TTP were also captured in the operation.

The Balochistan Interior Minister further added that while the Pakistani Taliban seek to establish an Islamic system in the country, the BLA ideologically contradicts them, but their cooperation is facilitated due to the support of a “common investor” (India) utilizing them from different perspectives.

He made these remarks on Wednesday, June 26th, in Quetta, Pakistan, where security forces recently apprehended two senior commanders of the Pakistani Taliban.

Pakistani authorities stated that the detained commanders, Nasrullah alias Maulvi Mansoor and Idris alias Ehsan, are key members of the Pakistani Taliban.

Nasrullah confessed to having operated from South Waziristan and joining the Pakistani Taliban in 2007. Pakistani authorities claim Nasrullah admitted to his “terrorist” attacks against Pakistani army installations, stating he spent time in Afghanistan’s Paktia province.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan Home Minister acknowledged that if the financial resources of TTP and BLA are scrutinized, there is no doubt that India’s intelligence agency finances both groups.

He also emphasized that the global community should not doubt that India supports terrorist groups in the country. So far, the Indian government has not responded to these statements by the Balochistan Home Minister.

This comes as the Pakistan army recently announced the launch of Operation “Azam Istehkam” to combat terrorism.

Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, announced last week that after consensus from all parties, the decision to launch such military operations had been taken.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, led by Imran Khan, and Jamiat-e-Ulema Pakistan, led by Fazlur Rahman, opposed the launch of these military operations.
