In Mariners news:

• In case you missed the game yesterday, the M’s avoided the sweep thanks to some key hits and holding on during a wild ninth inning. No hit, however, was bigger than this dump from Cal Raleigh. And hey, they clinched a winning record in June!

• Alex, you’ve done it again.

• With Lazaro Montes and Michael Arroyo recently joining Everett, the Modesto Nuts have a couple of open spots. Perhaps Felnin is next in line?

• Jon Becker at FanGraphs went over a few names that the Mariners could theoretically target at the trade deadline.

• The Astros brought old friend Omar Narváez into the fold on a minor league deal. He had spent the last two seasons with the Mets in a backup role.
• In other Astros news, righty J.P. France will undergo shoulder surgery, missing the remainder of the year.

• The Guardians recalled 1B/OF Jhonkensy Noel from Triple-A Columbus, and he made his big league debut last night, bashing a solo shot in his first big-league at-bat.

• Alden González at ESPN dove into Trajekt - a new piece of technology that more and more MLB teams and players are using to prepare for in-game trips to the plate.
