Little-known rule could see England knocked out of T20 World Cup without playing after fixed draw
ENGLAND could be knocked out of the T20 World Cup without playing their semi-final against India.
Jos Buttler‘s side could suffer the unfortunate exit due to a little-known rule.

There are 250 minutes allotted of extra time in case rain causes a delay to the game.

This is because the final is scheduled for Saturday rather than Sunday, which could have allowed an extra day to be in reserve.
Should the match be a washout, then this would gift India passage to the final without a ball being bowled.
This is because Virat Kohli‘s side finished the Super 8 stage with a better record than England.
There was one for the first semi-final between South Africa and Afghanistan.

This is the case for most matches at the T20 World Cup except for the knockout fixtures.
