TEDDY Mitchell is the latest newcomer to Albert Square – along with his two sons, Harry and Barney.
But are the new arrivals to Eastenders anything like their hot-headed Mitchell relations? Here’s everything you need to know about Walford’s new character.
Teddy is Billy Mitchell‘s half-brother.
Stevie Mitchell who came to the square earlier this year seeking reconciliation with Billy is their estranged father.
Stevie had dropped hints about the existence of another son on a Father’s day fishing trip with Billy, but viewers had no idea he would appear on the Square.
Phil’s dad Eric had two brothers – Archie, who was Ronnie and Roxy’s father – and Stevie.
This would make Phil and Teddy first cousins.
Viewers assumed Stevie only had two sons, Billy and Charlie – who died young.
Teddy was that secret child Stevie had with another woman, making Teddy Billy’s half-brother, and his two son’s, Harry and Barney, Billy’s half-nephews.
Teddy is played by Roland Manookian who also starred in The Football Factory and The Rise of the Footsoldier and he also appeared in famous TV shows like The Bill.
Speaking about joining the soap, Manookian said:
“It’s a great honour to come into a show which is an institution in its own right.
To be part of a very well-established, stalwart family of Walford is a real honour.

“It also comes with a bit of pressure too, which is welcome!”
