A WAG has bragged about securing her sportsman husband by making him jealous with another man.
Kelly Stafford admitted that she dated her husband’s “back up” when he refused to commit to her – and she did it to deliberately “p**s him off”.
Her tactic clearly worked, though.
The 35-year-old tied the knot with American footy pro Matthew Stafford, 36, in 2015 and the pair share four children.
“At first, I hated him,” she revealed on the Off the Vine podcast.
“I loved him.
“I dated the back up to p**s him off, which worked.
“He was the bad boy too.
“Like, Matthew’s so sweet and a southern gentleman and all that stuff, and the back up was the complete opposite.”
Kelly bragged about how her tactic “upset” her now-husband as he lived in the same building as his love rival, so would see her car parked outside.
“At one point, he waited and followed me out and got in my car and wouldn’t get out,” she shared.
“I was like, ‘this is amazing, it’s working!’”
Kelly and Matthew met at the University of Georgia in the early Noughties.
He now plays for the Los Angeles Rams of the US’ National Football League and is reportedly on a salary over £30 MILLION a year.
NFL WAG Kelly has since copped criticism following her confession.
“Imagine your wife that you are completely taking care of on a podcast talking glowingly about how some other guy used to hit it,” one critic said on Instagram.
“Some things should not be talked about in public,” another slammed. “She made her husband look weak and spineless.”
Others claimed that the behaviour is “terrifying” and suggested her husband “could have done better”.
Kelly has since taken to Instagram to respond to the criticism.
“If it didn’t affect others, I wouldn’t even address it,” she wrote on her story.
“It was so comical the way things were twisted.
“It was 16 years ago.
“If you asked both Matthew and I if we would change anything we did back then… nope.
“But we appreciate the laughs.”
