Last week, the Associated Press achieved a remarkable feat. In reporting on the two immigrants arrested for the murder of 12-year-old Texan girl Jocelyn Nungaray, journalists managed to bury any mention of their illegal status — either in the headline or even in the article itself.
To accuse the AP of journalistic malpractice would be a breathtaking understatement. With a presidential election just months away in which securing the southern border is firming up as priority numero uno, what they published was nothing less than naked White House propaganda. But don’t expect the Biden campaign to report the in-kind contribution. (READ MORE: Is Biden On The Way Out? I’m Not So Sure.)
Most comprehend that the nation’s newsrooms lie in ruins at this late hour of the American empire. However, few are aware of the citizen journalism that is rising from the ashes. Whistleblowers and undercover journalists have been around forever but only in recent decades have they skewed overwhelmingly to the right — and only in recent years have they begun driving the national conversation.
Chin up. AP’s antics were a footnote in American journalism last week. Undercover conservative reporters had a field day. Consider four examples.
Journalist Christopher Rufo is the hero of our first story, which began last year when former Texas Children’s Hospital surgeon Dr. Eithan Haim leaked evidence to Rufo about the hospital’s covert sex-change surgeries on gender-confused minors. Publicly, the hospital had renounced these and other child trans interventions after state Attorney General Ken Paxton labeled them abusive. Rufo’s reporting ultimately prompted lawmakers to ban such practices in the Lone Star State. (WATCH our conversation with Eithan Haim: The Spectacle Ep. 84: No Documentation: Inside Texas Children’s Secret Transgender Clinic)
The scandal resurfaced this month when Biden’s Department of Justice did an end run around the hospital and instead charged the whistleblower, Dr. Haim, with HIPAA violations. Soon after, more whistleblowers approached Rufo alleging that doctors in the hospital’s child sex-change program had committed Medicaid fraud. The hospital is now under investigation.
As of last Thursday, the hospital had scrubbed its press contact page from the web. And when another journalist, Jonathan Chow of the Discovery Institute, approached the hospital with questions about the growing scandal, staff attempted to have him trespassed by police.

The second story surfaced on the same day — Thursday, June 20 — when Project Veritas obtained undercover footage of a U.S. State Department consulate official warning that the Great Replacement “conspiracy theory” is a conspiracy fact and a deliberate agenda of the Biden administration.
“The truth is they want to change the demographics of the United States,” the official explained. “I wish people knew we were letting in criminals [to the United States] daily.”
(YouTube has helpfully tagged the Project Veritas video with a content label assuring users that the Great Replacement is a “white nationalist far-right conspiracy theory” and that you shouldn’t believe your lying eyes).
Story number three, also published last Thursday, centers on Disney — a once-great brand that never seems to tire of digging its own grave.
In a video captured by O’Keefe Media Group, the company’s Vice President of Business Affairs Michael Giordano told hidden cameras that white males need not apply at Disney. (READ MORE: Radical Chic Redux)
“Nobody else is going to tell you this, but they’re not considering any white males for the job,” Giordano told an undercover journalist posing as a date.
Giordano added that Disney uses “code words and buzzwords” to avoid legal action for their blatant civil rights violations and even mentioned the case of a candidate who was “half black” but was rejected because he didn’t “appear half black”.

The final story, which went live last Friday, is almost too sordid to air but aired it must be.
Michael Knaapen, who is a leader of the LGBTQ Diversity Council for the Maryland Democrats, was caught grooming a 14-year-old boy via text message by journalist and self-styled pedophile hunter Alex Rosen.
I won’t repeat any of the content, but feel free to read it yourself on Rosen’s X account if you have the stomach for it.
You could be forgiven for thinking American journalism is dead and buried, but that’s only true if you walk around with one eye closed.
Open the other eye and lift your head in hope.
