Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance has taken them from the Super Bowl to Wembley Stadium, and now it’s taking them to the Hallmark Channel? Well, not exactly, but we think the dynamic duo might have sparked a partnership between the network and the NFL.
Hunter King and Tyler Hynes will be coming to everyone’s televisions this Christmas for Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. The movie will be filmed on location at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri beginning next month. They haven’t promised any Kelce or Swift cameos, but Hallmark’s chief brand officer Darren Abbott said in a press release that they would deliver “values, tradition and community” in a film that brings together “two iconic organizations.”
The story doesn’t have any Swiftie moments, but King will play a football-crazed woman hoping to become fan of the year with her family, who just happen to be lifelong Chiefs fans. Hynes will play the team’s director of fan engagement (nope, he’s not a tight end for the team), who works with all of the football fans during the contest. A lost vintage Chiefs hat sends everyone looking for a Christmas miracle that only the Hallmark Channel can deliver in their magical, and romantic, way.
It seems that Kelce is a Hallmark fan though. He revealed in his New Heights podcast in April that he might be watching the network, thanks to his girlfriend. Are you a Hallmark guy, Trav?” asked guest host comedian Andrew Santino.
“You know, I dabble now,” Kelce responded which sent fans into a tailspin.
“They really are just sitting at home watching from coms and hallmark movies all day huh,” wrote one Swiftie on X. Their love really is a dream come true, and Chiefs Kingdom is going to welcome the Hallmark fans with a cup of hot cocoa and some holiday magic on the football field.
