The roster includes seven players from the 2019 National Team, the last time Singapore participated in a Men's Softball World Cup. This list features pitchers Aloysius Ong, who worked the most innings in that event, and Marcus Chew, who only pitched 3.2 innings.
Singapore finished third in the Asia Cup in 2022 and didn't qualify for that year's World Cup in Auckland, New Zealand. Last year, Singapore was runner up in the continent and qualified for this year's group stage.
Singapore will open Group B of the World Cup against seven time world champions New Zealand, on 10 July at 2pm local time. The day after, they will play hosts Canada, followed by a double header on 12 July against Israel and Hong Kong, China. They close the Opening Round against Argentina. See full schedule here.
The top four teams in the Opening Round standings will move to the Playoffs. The first and second place teams will face each other for a spot in next year's Finals, while third and fourth will meet in an elimination game. The loser of the first game (1 vs 2) will then play the winner of the second game (3 vs 4) with the second ticket to the Finals at stake.
