Serena Williams attended Thom Browne’s fall couture 2024 show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday, June 24, dressed in a fetching outfit.
The athlete sat front row in a pair of black leather dress shoe-inspired heels designed by Thom Browne. Williams’ footwear featured sleek black leather uppers, coordinating black lace-up closures, embossed detailing, and curved 2- to 3-inch heels. This silhouette is a staple of the designer brand, reminiscent of retro styles.
The former tennis star’s footwear was paired with white ankle-length lace-trimmed socks. The all-black designer shoes provided a preppy and stylish twist, aligning with Thom Browne’s posh Americana brand identity. Many celebrities at the show wore similar footwear silhouettes.
In a colorful twist, Williams wore a white, pink and red ensemble in a similarly preppy style. The look consisted of a pink button-up shirt featuring a pink and white pinstripes and an accordion hem, all layered underneath a structured red corset featuring a whimsical dachshund print.
On the bottom, Williams wore a matching red, white and blue pleated skirt with the same dachshund print. Over her shoulders, the she wore a blazer featuring a red tweed print that transitioned into a pinstriped design. She also carried a matching red, dachshund-shaped bag.
When it comes to shoes, Williams often gravitates toward versatile and glamorous styles. The Nike-sponsored athlete’s sandals and pumps for formal events usually include accents like bold colors and crystals. On and off the tennis court, she regularly wears sneakers from Nike and Jordan Brand. Williams is also a designer herself, having launched her namesake Serena clothing brand in 2018.
Beyond the former tennis superstar, other notable attendees included high-profile fashion figures such as Emma Chamberlain, Anna Wintour, Teyana Taylor, Will Poulter, Eric Nam, Molly Gordon, Evan Mock and Lee Pace, among others.
