Kerry Washington is an American in Paris.
The actress and producer was seen at Palais Garnier for the Chanel fall couture 2024 show on June 25. The “UnPrisoned” star was decked out in Chanel for the Paris Fashion Week event, dressed in a black and white tweed ensemble with black suede and satin heels.
Washington opted for a classic look in Chanel tweed, sporting a double breasted blazer with a patent leather belt fastened in front. The ensemble included a tweed skirt that hit mid-thigh, designed with the same black and white striped pattern as the jacket. Elevating the set was a gossamer-like transparent black skirt, that descended over the tweed skirt and extended to the floor. Washington added extra flair to the ensemble with silver jewelry and a small black quilted Chanel purse.
To complete the Chanel look, Washington selected a pair of 2016 heels designed by Karl Lagerfeld in partnership with the French brand. While mostly made of suede, the black pumps featured a contrasting satin cap toe that offered additional texture and shine. The shoes also included gold accents along the base and the top half of the heel. The unique 4.5-inch heel was shaped like an inverted cone with a small cylindrical block reading Chanel underneath; the bottom part of the heel was black.
Washington recently wore Chanel in New York City while attending the Tribeca Chanel Women’s Luncheon celebrating the Through Her Lens program, which supports female and non-binary filmmakers. For that occasion and a related panel held the same day at Tribeca Festival, Washington wore a black and pink tweed set with black peep-toe heels. When she isn’t wearing Chanel, she can be found in various other shoes, including Larroudé x Altuzarra slingback pumps, which she wore at the Season 2 premiere of her Hulu series “UnPrisoned.”
