HANDS up if you’ve ever ordered something online, only for it to turn up and look completely different to what you expected.
Despite more commonly happening with clothes, one amused woman has revealed how she found herself in this very scenario after ordering some party decorations for a Hawaiian-themed 50th birthday party.
Chelsey Edwards took to TikTok (@chelseyedwards_13) and explained how she and her mum decided to snap up some bargain buys from discount shopping app, Temu.
However, it wasn’t long before they quickly noticed an epic fail…
In the clip posted to social media, Chelsey can be seen unpackaging the parcel and says: “When your Temu order goes wrong.
“My mum’s having a Hawaiian-themed, 50th birthday party, so we’ve got these stickers for the cups.”

She then reads the slogans aloud, with one saying ‘Aloha,’ another ‘Hawaii‘ and a further ‘Tiki time.’
But it’s the last one that’s garnered all of the attraction, with Chelsey adding: “And then we have the good old faithful…’Let’s flaminge!’
She could quickly be heard bursting into laughter because it sounds like the rude word “m*nge,” which is slang for female private parts.
And it wasn’t just Chelsey and her mum who were left in hysterics by the epic fail, with the video quickly going viral and racking up a whopping 189k views and several comments from social media users.
“Let’s flamingle would have made more sense,” wrote one.
A second noted: “I’M HOWLING,” followed by the crying with laughter face emoji.
Chelsey replied: “Every time I come back on the comments and see it, it just cracks me up all over again!”
A third quipped: “I think I’ve had flaminge before, they make a cream for that sort of thing.”
Meanwhile, a fourth joked: “That’s the best epic fail ever coz forever now it will be Let’s Flaminge!”
Another noted: “OK, we’re having a Hawaiian themed party, I NEED these.”
And a further chimed in: “That HAS to be the hashtag for the party!”
TEMU exploded onto the scene in late 2022, with people all over social media raving about the low prices.
The company is a Chinese-owned digital marketplace – essentially an online shopping app where people are connected to the retailer directly while the app takes care of the shipping element.
The frenzy over the app is not completely unfounded either as it offers a wide variety of products, including fashion, make-up, electronics and furniture.
According to a report from the US House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, Temu takes advantage of a trade loophole that allows the company to ship duty-free goods directly to the US.
The loophole is called the de minimis exception and it means they can ship goods valued up to $800 (£643) to the US without it being inspected or taxed by US customs.
Temu connects customers directly to manufacturers and only manages how the items are sent to customers.
It means Chinese vendors can essentially sell their products directly to customers and ship it without building a network of warehouses across the globe.
By doing this, they cut down on huge costs and ensure the product itself isn’t marked up extra.
While many of the products seen on the Temu app are from brands with extensive, original collections, many more are dupes of designer brands.
