LOVE Island fans think that Sean has given Matilda the ick after spotting a clue.
The sweet seller smooched bombshell Matilda on the terrace after making his feelings for her very clear.
Matilda had initially rejected his first kiss in previous episodes because she was so new on the show.
Sean, who has been infatuated with the recruitment consulter since she set foot on the show, told her she looked “beautiful”.
“You actually look amazing. I’m serious, you look beautiful. I’m so happy you’ve come through the door and I feel like I’m on the right track of something special,” he said before leaning in for a kiss.
But fans think that Matilda is staying with him “out of pity”.
“Idk what’s more embarrassing this or Matilda calling him ‘cute’,” one fan wrote on a Reddit thread.
“I think Matilda is putting up with Sean more out of pity than anything else also him shouting from the roof that he got his first kiss was sooooo cringe!” a second said.
“That would completely put me off…and after that she just gave him like a side hug saying you’re so cute – which you’d do if you almost felt bad for someone?!” they continued.
“Or is this me making things up because I’m not able to get my head around how a girl like Matilda could like a guy like Sean who is far from secure and acts like a little boy going through puberty?!”
During a firepit challenge, Sean was told to whisper something in the ear of the islander he liked most.
He went over to Matilda and told her that he “couldn’t wait” for their kiss.
But Matilda blocked his first kiss, telling him it was too early.
Although fans were getting tired of Sean’s sweet-talking ways.
One took to X to write: “I’m now tired of Sean. Send him home to continue making his sweets.”
Another mused: “Sean needs to go home,” as a third pleaded: “Sean pls I’m begging you, get a grip of yourself or I will send you home IMMEDIATELY.”
One then put: “Sean just needs to go home I think. Why’d the producers set him up like this,” as another agreed: “Sean needs to go home. I can’t watch.”
Another then cringed and put: “Sean needs to go home – ‘please don’t tell them I got pied.’
“My bredda, the whole world just saw it on TV.”
Earlier in the episode, Sean stole Matilda away from Omar for a natter.
Omar – another male who has been unlucky in love in the show so far – looked fuming and the other girls gasped in shock as the sweet salesmen made the bold move.
