All throughout last week, Justin Timberlake’s DWI arrest was all over the news and social media. But now, with his music tour back on track, it seems the singer is doing his best to move on from the drama and focus on what matters most right now: his career.
In a recent clip of Timberlake during this past weekend show in Chicago, Timberlake even got teary-eyed as he thanked fans for their support.
“We’ve been together through ups and downs and lefts and rights, and it’s been a tough week,” Timberlake told the crowd (see the video HERE!). “But you’re here, and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now.”
At this point, the crowd cheered as Timberlake got emotional and looked around the arena. He then moved his arms up and down as if worshipping his fans. “I know sometimes I’m hard to love, but you keep on loving me and I love you right back,” Timberlake added, wiping away tears. “Thank you so much.”
In the comments of the video, it’s clear Timberlake’s fans will continue to show him support, regardless of his recent run-in with the cops. “Never hard to love u JT!” wrote one commenter. “You are loved UNCONDITIONALLY by your real fans!! ????” “Truly a special bond we all share with you @justintimberlake that can never be broken. ????” wrote another commenter.
As a reminder, Timberlake already indicated how important this tour was for him during his reported conversation with the police officer during his arrest.
“Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour,’” a source told Page Six of the “Cry Me a River” singer’s conversation. “The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”
And while the officer was reportedly “too young” to recognize Timberlake and understand what that meant, it’s clear how much this tour means to him. We’re glad he’s right on track.
